SPARK was created to promote the positive aspects and qualities of college athletics at Arizona State University. It is committed to presenting the athlete’s experience off the field to illustrate how the college player employs the same drive for excellence in their everyday life – from charitable works, community involvement and academic requirements to friendships, family obligations, and spiritual influences. The goal is to focus on the athlete’s performance in life – successes, challenges, sacrifices – and to explore why the line between performance on the field and in life is really no line at all.
